The SBI clerk expected date of examination for the preliminary examination is February 2025, while for the main examination, it is March/April 2025.

The Indian multinational public sector bank, State Bank of India, also the 48th largest bank in the world, opened the vacancies for clerk recruitment on December 17, 2024.

State Bank of India is already the largest bank in India and the 10th largest employer in the world, employing around 250,000 employees.

The vacancy was announced on 17 December for 13,735 posts, which is expected to benefit more than 50,000 people indirectly.

Eligibility Criteria

The registration process begins on 17 December. Here are some of the required eligibility criteria for the post of an SBI clerk, which are designated as the cashier and depositor.

Educational Qualification

  • Graduated candidates under any faculty from a recognized university or any equivalent certification recognized by the Central Government

Age Limit

  • Candidates not less than 20 years old and not more than 28 years old are eligible to fill out the registration form for the SBI clerk post.

Work Experience

  • No prior work experience is asked by the organization for the recruitment of the SBI clerk.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of an on-line test (preliminary & main exam) and a test of the specified opted local language.

Preliminary Examination:

The preliminary exam consisting of objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would
be of a 1-hour duration, consisting of 3 sections.

Main Examination

The main examination carries 200 marks with an allocated time of 2 hours and 40 minutes. The test will be conducted in 4 sections as below.

What to Prepare for the SBI Clerk Examination?

Candidates are required to prepare themselves for reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, English, general awareness, computer knowledge, etc.

The organization will be conducting pre-examination training online. To be part of the pre-examination training, all eligible candidates are required to log in for training from the bank’s website by
entering their registration number and date of birth.

The time and schedule of the pre-examination training will be shared with the candidates via their registered mail or SMS.
