The Santa Cruz Wharf, a pier on the west coast of Santa Cruz, California, got hit by a powerful storm on December 23, Monday at noon.
According to KSBW, an approximately 150-foot (46-meter) section of the Santa Cruz Wharf fell and was swept away in the water.
The collapsed portion of the wharf had restrooms and a Dolphins restaurant. The wharf was also previously hit by winter storms, and a renovation project was going on worth $4 million.
