Lahore Qalandars Retained Players 2025
In 2024, the PSL management allowed franchises to have a maximum of 8 retentions for the Pakistan Super League 2024, and it is the same number of retentions in 2025 too.
Qalandars have retained Shaheen Shah Afridi, David Wiese, brand ambassador Hais Rauf, magical spinner from Afghanistan Rashid Khan, and all-rounder from Zimbabwe, Sikandar Raza, for 2024; however, Rashid Khan missed the tournament, which severely impacted Qalandars, and they ended up in the bottom of the table.
Lahore Qalandars retained all their players from the platinum category and diamond categories, as the key players and core strength of the team are in their platinum/diamond category players.
Abdullah Shafique from the Qalandars has been successfully relegated from the diamond category to the gold category.
Successful relegation in PSL means a player who is initially categorized as having a higher salary/category player has been downgraded to the lower category. This can be possible either by team or player’s request.
