A technical glitch by the speed tracker gun on Friday at the India vs Australia 2nd test match at Adelaide shows Mohammad Siraj clicking 181.6 kph while bowling against Marnus Labuschagne, which is the fastest delivery in cricket shown by the speed tracker gun.
The technical glitch incident happened in the 25th over of the first inning of Australia while Marnus Labuschagne was on strike, and he guided the ball down to deep backward point for a boundary.
The record for the fastest delivery in cricket is previously held by Pakistan’s pacer Shoaib Akhtar with a speed of 161.3 kph during the 2003 World Cup.
Fans noticed the technical glitch in the speed tracker and reacted on social media to the technical glitch.
However, the ICC and none of the cricket officials have reacted to the fastest delivery of cricket bowled by Siraj.
India was bundled out for just 180 runs in the first inning of the second test match at Adelaide as Mitchell Starc picked up 6 wickets for Australia, pushing India on the back foot early in the second game.
Australia was well adapted to the condition and scored 86 runs for the loss of 1 wicket only in just 33 overs.
