What is player tracking technology?
The player-tracking technology is a technology to keep ball-by-ball insights of various aspects of the play.
The technology is capable of capturing and presenting batting stances, fielders’ positions, and bowlers’ run-ups on every delivery, which will boost the quality of the viewer experience and will assist in broadcasting the PSL to new heights.
The add-on will also track the fielder’s momentum and activities, the batter’s stances and hitting, and the bowler’s run-up and bowling actions.
The debut of the technology in the 10th edition of the league was confirmed by the CEO of the PSL, Salman Naseem. He said, “The HBL PSL has always embraced innovation, and with the introduction of Player Tracking Technology in its upcoming edition, we are taking a step forward in enriching the fan experience.”
