PSL 2025 seems to be highly benefitted from the list of unsold players in the IPL, as big names of the T20 went unsold in the IPL auction at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Those unsold players are expected to play in PSL 2025, as IPL 2025 and PSL 2025 are likely to collide this time as the Champions Trophy will be hosted by Pakistan in the original schedule of PSL 2025.
According to the details, a high-profile meeting was held between franchise owners and PCB to discuss the matters related to the next edition of the league.
During the meeting, the six franchises suggested holding the draft in either England or Dubai in a bid to increase the popularity of the PSL.
Franchises have also submitted big names who went unsold in the IPL auction and have asked PCB to raise the salary of the marquee players to attract big names.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also assured the inclusion of renowned overseas players.
Big names like David Warner, Kane Williamson, Keshav Maharaj, Steve Smith, Jonny Bairstow, Shakib Al Hasan, Jimmy Neesham, Tim Southee, and many other T20 stars went unsold this time at Jeddah.
Motivated by India’s auction at the Jeddah PSL 2025 draft, the upcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is being considered to be held abroad.

Big Names for PSL 2025 Drafts
David Warner
One of the most destructive opening batters of all time, David Warner went unsold in the IPL and has a high probability of being included in the PSL draft and might play in the PSL.
Warner has an outstanding record of 6565 runs in IPL with 4 centuries and 62 half-centuries in 184 matches he played, according to IPL.
Kane Williamson
Kane Williamson is another big name with a maximum probability of being included in PSL 2025 drafts.
Williamson played for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024 however, he only played 2 matches and was ruled out of the tournament. He played 78 matches in the IPL, scoring 2128 runs with 18 half-centuries.
Daryl Mitchell
Another big all-rounder, Daryl Mitchell, who was part of Chennai Super Kings in 2024, also went unsold this time, and he is expected to be in PSL 2025 after the Champions Trophy.
Steve Smith
T20 Retired Steve Smith tried his luck in the IPL auction; however, none of the franchises showed interest in him.
Smith is one of the key players who might be seen playing for PSL 2025 this time as he is currently focused in the test series only.
Jonny Bairstow
In-form Jonny Bairstow is also expected to be on the list of the player drafts for PSL 2025, as franchises will be eager to sign him for the PSL.
Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib Al Hasan, one of the finest all-rounders of all time, is expected to play in the PSL 2025, as Hasan can be dangerous with both bat and ball on Pakistan’s pitches.
