India was bowled out for just 180 runs in the first inning of the India vs Australia 2nd test at Adelaide Oval Stadium.

India experienced a rollercoaster ride in their batting with every inning in the 2024 India vs Australia 2nd test. India was bowled out for just 150 runs in the first inning at Optus Stadium while smashing 487 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the second inning.

However, they won the first test match by restricting Australia to just 238 runs and won the match by a huge margin of 295 runs.

India was again reduced to 180 runs as none of the batters scored half-centuries for the side, with Nitish Kumar Reddy as the highest run scorer for India with 42 runs in 53 deliveries.

Australia started the inning with a wicket in the first delivery as Starc dismissed the sledger Yashasvi Jaiswal for a golden duck. Jaiswal was dismissed by Starc in the first inning of the first test match.

KL Rahul and Shubman Gill added a 69-run partnership for the second wicket before Rahul was dismissed by Starc.

The man with high expectations, also the Centurion of the last match, Kohli, also returned to the pavilion early, adding only 7 odd runs to the pavilion.

Rohit Sharma demoted him down to number 6, pushing youngsters to the top order, which was proven costly as the team failed to set a strong foundation.

Rishabh Pant added 21 in 35 deliveries while skipper Sharma added only 3 runs to the scoreboards.

Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravichandran Ashwin put effort into batting, adding 42 runs and 22 runs, respectively, for the side.

As a result, India was bowled out for just 180 runs after Nitish Kumar Reddy departed for 42 runs.

Mitchell Starc picked up 6 wickets for Australia, conceding only 48 runs in 14.1 deliveries, while skipper Pat Cummins and Scott Boland picked up 2 wickets each for the side, respectively.
