Ravindra Jadeja didn’t play in the first and second test matches against Australia despite being included in the squad.

India won the first test match against Australia in Perth by 295 runs with a century knock from Virat Kohli and Yashaswi Jaiswal in the second inning of the first test match.

Skipper Bumrah was the Player of the Match in the first test match at Perth for his 5/30 and 3/42 against Australia.

Kangaroos made an even stronger comeback in the Adelaide test match as India lost to Australia by 10 wickets. Skipper Pat Cummins took a 5-wicket haul this time against India.

Ravindra Jadeja is expected to be included in the squad for the Ind vs Aus 3rd test match. at Gabba.

Why Ravindra Jadeja was not playing?

Ravindra Jadeja was moved aside from the playing XI of the 1st and 2nd tests to add an extra pacer to the squad.

Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy were handed their debut test cap in the first test match against Australia.

However, Rohit Sharma made a shocking move by letting Ravindra Jadeja warm up the bench and included Ravichandran Ashwin in the squad.

However, he is expected to be included in the 3rd test match at Gabba.

Nitish Kumar Reddy impressed everyone with his knock of 41 runs when India was bowled out for just 150 runs in the 1st inning of the Perth test match while remaining unbeaten at 38 runs in the second inning.

Reddy again showed courage with the bat, scoring 42 runs in the first inning and also 42 runs in the second inning against the quality pace attack of Australia.

Nitish Kumar Reddy is at number 2 in the list of top run scorers in the BGT 2024 so far. Jaiswal is at No. 1 with 185 runs, including his 140 runs in the 2nd inning of the Perth Test match.

Reddy scored 163 runs so far in the 1st and 2nd test matches. Moreover, he is consistently hitting runs for India in tough conditions.
