Pakistan got the shocking elimination from the U-19 Women’s Asia Cup after facing a 5-wicket defeat by Nepal after Puja Mahato delivered a magical performance with both bat and ball.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first in Kuala Lumpur on the slow pitch after losing the first match against India.
Pakistan struggled against Nepal’s bowling and got only 27 runs in the first power play overs while losing their 2 wickets.
Opening batter Komal Khan scored highest for Pakistan, adding 38 runs in 43 deliveries, including 2 boundaries, at a strike rate of 88.37.

Maham Anees’s unbeaten 29 runs in 38 deliveries, while skipper Zoofishan Ayyaz’s 12 runs in 15 deliveries, assisted Pakistan in reaching 104 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Nepal got a brilliant start; however, they got frequent dismissals in the middle overs.
Skipper Puja Mahato played a big inning for Nepal, scoring an unbeaten 47 runs, and also bagged 2 crucial wickets for Nepal.

Sony Pakhrin’s 13 runs in 20 deliveries and Seemana’s unbeaten 12 runs in 12 deliveries with skipper Mahato helped Nepal chase down the target in just 18.6 overs.
Mahato was the Player of the Match for her all-round performance and helped Nepal reach the top four in the tournament while Pakistan was eliminated from the U-19 Women’s Asia Cup 2024.
