Pokhara Avengers is a franchise cricket team of the Nepal Premier League named after the beautiful lake city Pokhara, in Gandaki Province, owned by Nepal T. Twenty Cricket Pvt. Ltd.

The opening batter of Nepal, Kushal Bhurtel, is the marquee player and captain of the Avengers in NPL 2024.

Head Coach

They appointed an Indian former first-class cricketer, Rajiv Kumar, who played for Bihar and Jharkhand and also had served as head coach of Jharkhand and as a batting and fielding coach of Chennai Super Kings.

He also served as head coach of Himachal Pradesh and the India A team in 2016/18.

Assistant Coach

The Avengers appointed Rijan Prajoo as their assistant coach for the inaugural edition of the Nepal Premier League. Rijan has already served as head coach of the Nepal women’s national team and Gandaki province. Prajoo is certified with ICC-level 2 certification.

Kiran SJB Rana is the team manager, while Kiran Bhattarai will serve as the Team coordinator in Pokhara Avengers.

Pokhara Avenger’s Jersey

Avengers planned to reveal their jersey in Lo-Manthan in Mustang by traveling via road, according to Pokhara Avengers representatives.

The Jersey launch event was conducted on Thursday, where team representatives and the brand ambassador of Pokhara Avengers, Sandeep Chhetri, revealed their jersey in Lo-Manthan Mustang.

Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes also joined the Pokhara Avengers in their jersey launch event as a team mentor and advisor.

The main aim of the team is to reveal their jersey. in Lo-Manthan Mustang is to boost tourism along with cricket in Nepal and also to raise awareness about global warming in Nepal.

Fixtures

They played their first match against Chitwan Rhinos, who won their first match against Biratnagar Kings.

The clash between two Kushals was won by Malla as Avengers lost to the Chitwan Rhinos in their first match at TU Ground Pokhara.

The Avengers will now lock horns against the points table topper of the Nepal Premier League, Janakpur Bolts, with 2 wins in 2 matches on 5 December at 9:15 AM. Janakpur Bolts defeated Biratnagar Kings in their first match and yaks in their second match.

All the matches will be played at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
