The Shreyas Iyer Price in IPL 2024 is Rs 26.75 crore, which is the highest price a player was sold for leaving RTM aside.
Shreyas Iyer was sold to the Punjab Kings for a whopping 26.75 crores, history in the last 17 years, surpassing Mitchell Starc’s previous record of 24.75 crores as the most expensive player in IPL.
Shreyas Iyer got at No. 3 in the auction table after Arshdeep Singh and Kagiso Rabada. Arshdeep Singh was sold to the Punab Kings earlier, while Kagiso Rabada was sold to the Gujarat Titans for a whopping 10.75 crores.
The bidding started at the Shreyas Iyer base price of 2 crore by Kolkata Knight Rider, battled by Punab Kings with the highest amount of purse for the IPL auction 2024.
The battle between KKR and Punab Kings went on for up to 7 crores, as Punab Kings left at 7 crores and Delhi Capitals joined the battle at 7.50 crores for their Ex-captain Iyer.
Knight Rider left at 9.75 crore, which is then continued by Punab Kings at 10.25 crore.
The bidding battle continued, surpassing Mitchell Starc’s record of the most expensive player in IPL of 24.75 crore, which eventually crossed 25 crore.
Both the Kings and Capitals went on till the end of the rope from their side to sign an IPL-winning captain on their franchise.
However, the battle was won by the Punjab Kings for a whopping 26.75 crore.
